The best non alcoholic experience. ‘Coffee is a pick-me-up, a boost. It has a certain strength, complexity and purity, at least if it’s a decent cup of coffee. That requires quality, attention and the right finishing touch. With our team we are involved in every step of the production process in order to prepare the most gorgeous and tastiest cup of coffee. That means that we a we have a team of specialists ranging from master coffee roaster to barista. In our own roasting house, we roast the green beans to produce a full-bodied, tasty and aromatic semi-finished product. In our shop, our own coffee, tea and related products can be sampled and purchased and in our Coffeelovers branches, we show what effect the right finishing touch has on a cup of coffee. Twentyfive years ago, there was a totally different attitude towards coffee – by now a real coffee culture has developed, and coffee is now acknowledged as a culinary product. The skills of a barista (the coffee ‘chef’) and the right ingredients and materials are vital. A good coffee product requires a great deal of attention, and that’s what we focus on,’ says Albert Berghof, director of this Maastricht family business which for many years has been supplying the Dutch Royal Family.
