Restaurant Manjefiek: a feast for all the senses
Paintings in the dining hall, sculptures on the terrace, a view of the Limburg countryside and culinary gems prepared from local produce. At restaurant Manjefiek at the edge of Maastricht, art, culinary delights and nature unite. Masterchef Wiel Rekko and his team welcome groups with open arms to indulge in gastronomical pleasures!
Head chef Rekko: eat with your eyes
Masterchef Wiel Rekko is not just an outstanding chef, but also an innovator. ‘I want to do something great every day. My inspiration comes from unexpected places and taste sensations. Being creative is part of my profession, it’s a pity that not all my dishes have been photographed. A painter also creates, but creates for posterity. My ‘art’ has disappeared from the table within ten minutes.
But if I do my job well, the experience remains with the guests for a long time. Inside the restaurant or outside on the terrace, enjoying the ever-changing views, the raspberry and herb garden, the works of art and our own local apple trees: the Gronsvelder Klumpkes – all ingredients for the good life are here in abundance. The most delicious dishes for the most pampered guests. Recommended by Michelin as excellent value for money and a splendid location. What more could you ask?’
Groups (15-150 persons) can admire the landscape from which the local produce originates, as well as our pond and adjacent sculpture park. Small groups can enjoy inspiring workshops organised by the Masterchef.
